The barn is all gone at Leone's .

Sorry I haven't written any comments on your blogs.. I can't seem to get google to let me do this.. I have tried and tired.. Sorry:(
Brad Salazar a young man who built our wonderful 2 stall garage stopped by today.. He is going to put new windows and a door on the porch next to our kitchen.. These windows are so bad they are ready to fall out.. There is always something to do in a old house.. It will be so nice to have this done.. Maybe now I'll be able to leave the doors open that go out to this porch in the fall and spring.. not winter.. it's not insulated and really cold out there... I would love to have this open all year around.. Mmmmmm=I think I'll ask Brad what we can do about this...all he can say is it's not possible.
The barn is now gone at Leone's house.. wide open spaces one can see now.. Progress goes on.. Either this fall/winter or Spring/summer a new house will sit on this spot.

All that is left is a little bit of the lean two that was next to the barn.. Good for storing things for right now and keeping things dry.

Something I noticed last week is ALL the Red-winged Blackbirds, Crackles,Starlings and Cow Birds are all gone.. My sister, Lynn that lives in South Carolina said that they are ALL in her back yard.. YEAH~!~! I told her to just keep them. They are gobblers and hog the feeders. It's nice to look out at the feeders and see the other birds enjoy eating again at the feeder and not have to fight these ornery birds that have left.. It seems early that they have gone south. Wonder if this means we are going to get a early winter.. I love all the seasons so it will be what it's going to be... But first we will get to see the glorious colors of fall ~! We always take our yearly ride to balltown and have lunch at Breitbach's Reataurant in Balltown, Iowa.. It's a great place to eat and they have the best Walnut raisen pie... yum yum...lip smacking~! Talked with Donna today to see how Ben did at school. He had first two days were a little frustrating but good days. He got two red marks on his daily record ~ he was not listening and had to go to the quiet chair.. He was so excited when he saw me last night,, he ran and got his bag and showed me his daily record for Monday.. "Look GranAnnie I got a smiley stamp"that means I was good all day.. Donna said he has another one for today. So when I see him this afternoon he will be excited again.. Yeah~! she said that there is a little boy (age 2) that he was playing with yesterday. Ethan sneezed so hard that he hit his head on the slide.. He cried and Ben was right there telling him it will feel better in a few minutes. He kissed his head. Hugged him and then said "God will heal it for you ". Sweet~! That is what GranAnnie tells Ben when he hurts himself, he is passing this idea along to someone else. How wonderful~!

Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

GranAnnie Come to my House~!

Here is Ben dong his favorite things.. Swinging , he loves swinging. He said his new friend Grant, at school showed him he could
swing like this.. He said GranAnnie you don't have to push me this way.

He also loves jumping on the trampoline.. He has learned to bounce on his butt and then stand up.. He thinks this is so cool.. "It's a new trick GranAnnie"..~!

Found this Cicada shell and actually the bug.. Oh my I thought it was so beautifully marked.. He almost looks like a jewel. I just marveled at how awesome this bug was.. But on the other hand Ben and his Mom said Yikes~!

Don't make me touch it GranAnnie, please don't make me touch it or hold it~! shutter shutter.. I just laughed..look at that face...His Mom in the background is laughing ~ she would hardly look at it let alone touch or hold it.. Poor things, they are missing out on the marvel of looking and holding bugs.. Good thing GranAnnie is brave and Grandpa Dee Dee, he is holding the cicada while I take it's picture.

Here he is eating his supper. Hot dogs, green beans, and orange..and giving me the look "I love you GranAnnie"..
After supper we went to the living room and watched Harry the Dirty Dog.. Tracie got this DVD at the library. I have the books and he really loves me to read him to him.

He wants to earn some money for a Mario Lego motorcycle. It cost $7 .. So Tracie told him she would make him a job chart and if he did those jobs daily she would give him a quarter. She had a tootsie roll bank and she gave him that to put his money. Last night he earned 75 cents. He was so excited~! He kept asking Tracie "Mommy what more can I do?" It's never too early to teach children how to earn money and then to save it too.

It's a beautiful day here in Iowa ~ not quite 70 degrees and it's sunny. I feel bad for people that are in the wave of Irene...hope by tonight we can say "Goodnight Irene"~!..

Have a blessed tiggeriffic day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Leone's house is now history...

My friend Leone Coons died at the age of 102.. She was a school teacher at one time in a one room school house and then she taught here in Springville. She was such a lovely lady and I have many memories of playing dominos with her and my friend Phyllis.
Phyllis was mentioned in my last post. Leone loved her flowers and her garden.. This is all that is left of her flowers.. Good thing she is not here she would be so sad.. The house was a 5 bedroom house with kitchen, dining room and living room and one bathroom. She lived here with her husband John and daughter Nancy.
John farmed the 120 acres. handpicking the corn at one time and then bought a tractor and corn picking machine to pick the corn. To me this was very sad to see but know that life goes on.

This is the lean two that is next to the barn.. in the forground was her flower garden.. gone now.
The barn still stands so far and I'm sure by the end of the day it will be gone too. The company that is working on this project is hauling everything away.. No more house no more chicken house no more corn crib.

This is a view of the basement. It looks so small. When I went down into her basement it always seems bigger.

Here's the barn before it goes...John was so proud of his barn. The house was in front of the barn. I wish now I would of gotten up there before it got torn down. IT's just a memory now .

This young couple named Mike and Dawn DeMean bought the farm. They have 4 children. This is going to be a great place to raise the kids..

They go to our church and is a wonderful family.

So a day of history going down and now all that is left is the happy memories. I guess I would rather see this than all the old farm steads that are just sitting empty and falling down and looking very sad. Once upon a time there was a family that lived in these homes with children.

Have a Blessed Tiggeriffic Day ~!~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Yesterday morning I went over to my friend, Phyllis's house. We were playing Skip-bo.. She told me she was leaving that day to go to her daughter's house that lives in Marshalltown. Her son, Lynn was going to be taking her at 2 that day. I told her "How would you like it if I drove you there. She said that would be great.. I told her to call her sister, Lottie and see if she wanted to ride along. Lottie wasn't home so I said "well, lets go out to lunch".. so we did and then as we went through Hiawatha we stopped to see if Lottie was home. Sure enough when we stopped by, Lottie had just gotten home and she agreed to go with us.. How wonderful is that..the girls got to visit one more time together.

Phyllis is on the left with the boot on her foot.. Lottie is on the right. On July 4th Phyllis broke her akellis tendon(spelling wrong) in her leg and has been in the area since then.. She lives in Garfield, Arkansas.
Phyllis and Lottie are sitting on Janene's front porch.. Janene is Phyllis's daughter that lives in Marshaltown. We were waiting for her to get home from work.. She teaches school.
Phyllis and Lottie had a great time visiting with each other and I'm so glad Lottie could go with us. Plus it gave me someone to visit with on the return trip.

Here we are ~ Lottie on the left, Janene and Phyllis.. Now as you look at this picture ~ Phyllis used to be a color analyst for Amway..and she was very good at it too... Well, must of forgot what her right colors to wear must be because orange is definitely not her color.. I called her and told her this and she just laughed.. She said someone gave her this shirt and being the thrifty person she is she is wearing this shirt that is not her colors.. I told her there would be someone at Goodwil that could wear this shirt.. Being that we are such good friends we just laughed..

Lottie and I left about 6 p.m. and it was great to have someone to visit with on the way back to our area.. It takes 1 1/2 hours, not too bad. When we got back to Hiawatha I asked Lottie if she wanted any supper and she said no.. I made a wrong turn and had to turn around ... We turned around in the parking lot where Oscar's Restaurant is and she said 'Lets eat at Oscar's".. So we did.. I told her this was great because I really didn't want to fix supper when I got home. Lottie was fun and I enjoyed my visit with her..

When Phyllis can drive a car she is going to have Janene or someone take her back to Arkansas. I'm sure she is anxious to get back in her own home. She has a dog and I'll bet he misses her a lot.. Neighbors are taking care of her dog..

Talked with Donna today to see how Ben was doing at school.. She said He had a few time outs because he was not listening..but other than that the teacher said it was good. He was confused this morning when his Dad brought him to Donna's.. Last few days his mom has taken him to school and when his dad brought him to Donna's he didn't think he was going to be going to school. Donna explained it him that when he is with his dad he will first come to her house and then when it's time he will be going to school. She said the light came on and he was O.K. with that . He loves going to school and didn't want to miss out...

Beautiful day today~! 78 degrees and sunny.. Have a tiggeriffic day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Good Morning to a bright sunny day~!~!

Just talked with Tracie this morning and she said Ben was in a grumpy mood.. m-m-m-? now how could that be? He wanted to take his DSI to pre-school today..he didn't want to go to Donna's today because he doesn't like to take a nap.. So Tracie told him you don't have to take a nap at Donna's but you do need to lay down and have some quiet time and sometimes your body does need a nap and that is why you do go to sleep, plus it's healthy to take naps. She told him she was going to take his DSI to Donna's house and he could play with it when he got there. He was O.K. with all that and she said he went to school with a skip in his step..
Last night they came to the house for supper.. He talked and talked all about his day.. He really liked Mrs. Kedley and how nice she was.. He liked the playing time and the music that she played to tell them it's time to clean up. He commented on all the rain that came down yesterday and they weren't able to go outside and play. He met a boy named Grant and they were now friends.. Snack time was grapes which he loves. It was fun to hear him talk about his day because usually boys don't talk this much. He is going to be like Uncle Rich who talked at 1 1/2 years old in big sentences and was a very happy boy and still is to this day.. He communicates well.
Went to bible study last night and it was a lot of good discussion. We are doing the bible study with Beth Moore called "Breaking Free".. It's all about holding onto things that happened to us when we were younger and not to let these things hold us in bondage.. Bible devotions this morning was so good, it was about "You're in partnership with God".
Did you hear the story about the little boy who was selling ten-cent pencils door to door to raise the money to build a thirty=million dollar hospital in his community? One woman said to him, "Son, that's a mighty big goal for just one little boy selling pencils for a dime." With a big smile he replied, "Oh, I'm not doing it alone. See that boy across the street?" He's my partner; we're doing it together." Now if he had that kind of faith in a partner who was only his equal, shouldn't you have confidence in God whose power is unequaled, and whose partnership guarantees success? The Bible says: "We are labourers together with God." When you truly believe those words you'll begin to live like a 'no limit' person.
When Robert Morrison sailed as a missionary to China, the ship's captain constantly criticized him and gave him a rough time. As Morrison left the ship, the captain said to him, "I suppose you think you're going to make an impression on China." Morrison replied "No, but I believe God will !" There it is ; when you're in partnership with God your potential is unlimited.. Here's a prayer for you: Disturb me, Lord, when my dreams come true only because I dreamed too small. Disturb me when I arrive safely only because I sailed too close to the shore. Disturb me, when the things I've gained cause me to lose my thirst for more of You. Disturb me when I've acquired success only to lose my desire for excellence. Disturb me, when I give up too soon and settle too far short of the goals You have set for my life."
Couple of days ago a bumble bee stung me a good one on my wrist.. My skin where the stinger was is all bubbled up and itches like crazy.. it almost looks like poison ivy which I have not been around. There is a hole where I took out the stinger and now has a scab. I have been stung before and have never had this reaction...I put on my tecnu cream for poison ivy but I'm using it because it's such a great cream to use when you have a bite that itches.
Have a great tiggeriffic day,,,ta ta for today from Iowa:)

Ben's first day of pre-school~!

The day has arrived, Ben is at Springville School. He said he had a great time~! When the music plays that is time to pick up and put things away. This reminds me of when my children went to school for the first time. only there was no pre-school back then.. (60's -70's) They went to Kindergarden.
Yesterday I picked him and up at Donna's and we went swimming at Holly's house. He loved it.. Tracie met us there. She was so excited~! She passed her boards for Massage Therapy...Her test was in Iowa City at 3:30. She said it was 2 1/2 hours long and 125 questions.. She said it was really hard and when she got done she was exhausted. When they told her she passed she said what a load was taken off her. It costs a lot of money to take your boards.. I think she said $400. She has a place for her business and she starts Sept. 1st.. Yeah~!~! No more night school for her now she just gets to do what she loves doing. Massaging.. She has learned so much in the last 10 months.
This morning at 5 a.m. I could hear thunder and see lightening coming from the West. It was a good one.. loud and bright. When I got up at 8 I looked at the rain gauge and it said 3 inches.. and it was still pouring. 9 a.m. it got so dark outside I turned the lights on in the house. Another downpour and I checked the rain gauge and goodness to be another inch.. 4 inches of much needed rain was wonderful...My vegetable garden and flower garden look soo good.. Not so stressed out~! The grass has turned back to green and the robins are thankful they can get to the worms again.. Amazing what a little moisture can do to the earth. The little birds are dancing in the bird bath ~ looks like they are celebrating.
All is well on Whittier Road for right now.. The sun is shining , it's 75 degrees with not much humidity and receiving God's blessing ~!

Have No Fear ~ Ben is Here~!

I took this picture of the moon the other night. I thought it was so cool how you can see the limbs of the tree and the leaves. My camera takes such great pictures. Ben loves taking pictures with this camera too. He has become real shutter bug.

Here is Ben at Springville Fun days climbing up the obstacle course and then on the other side sliding down. He has never had any fear in doing things like this and he must of gone on this 25 times.. He loved it~! He had to learn how to stand in line and take turns and then off he went..

Here he is on the other side.. He would first jump up and down and then slide down. then off he would go back to the beginning and wait in line.. This was so good for him. it didn't take him long to learn that if you used the rope you could get up on top faster.

These pictures are from last Saturday. Ben has a cupcake that was given to him by his friend, Blake. Blake's mom Lori made them for the Springville Fun Days. Ben had so much fun there with all the big blown up rubber things that he could jump on and climb on and slide down on..

Here is Ben on our church float for Springville fun days, holding a puppet.. He chose this one because he said it looked like PaPa Dee Dee.. He had a lot of fun throwing candy to all the people that were sitting watching the parade go by.

It was a great day and when I got him back to his Mom's house I gave him a bath and then we played a game of Old Maid.. He loves to play Old Maid.

I stopped by Ben's school today and got to visit with his teacher. Ms. Kedley.. She is a really nice young lady and I think Ben is going to really like her as his teacher.. I told her a few things about Ben and she said she would like to come to his house and visit with him and his Mom.. I'll have to talk with Tracie tomorrow and then she can let Ms. Kedley know about what time to come.

I stopped at Donna's house and gave her some oranges to give to the kids for an afternoon snack.. Ben was so happy to see me. He always gives me big hugs and kisses. He gives the best kisses. He told me he was going to go see his Daddy this evening.. It was his birthday.. He seemed very excited ~! It was nice to see him and the other kids that are at Donna's house. They all enjoyed the oranges. JoGram came to pick up Ben and he was happy to see her and off they went.. He gave me a kiss and hug goodbye and said "See you in a few days GranAnnie". Then he said "I'm going to school next week".. It's going to be fun.. Glad to hear he is looking forward to going. The pictures must of helped him.

Came home this evening and got all my groceries put away that I bought in Marion. Had supper and then took my Ipod outside and listened to Pastor James MacDonald and took notes of his sermon. He is talking about "Let the Glory Come Down".. It's all about the word of God and how important prayer is in our lives.

Time for me to go to bed.. Have a big day planned.. Cleaning the upstairs bedroom closet and dressers.. Time to get rid of things. Here I come Goodwill.

Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Ben getting ready for Pre-School

Today is August 17th and in 6 days Ben will be starting Pre-School. He is registered at Springville School. I took him last week to see his school and I took pictures. We were all by ourselves. His teacher was not there but up by the office there is pictures of all the teachers.. So I took a picture of his teacher, Miss Kendra Kedley.. This is her second year teaching Pre-School at Springville. I took lots of pictures of Ben sitting in places in the room and he looked all around and talked a lot.. He was worried he was not going to be going to Donna's house. So took the pictures, got them developed and put them on 1/2 a sheet of poster board.. I actually made two ~ one for Donna's house and one for Tracie's house.. It shows his teacher on top of the board and then the inside school picture of the room and then I put a picture of Donna.. I told him in the mornings he would be going to school with Ms. Kedley, from 8:30 to 11:00 and then he would go to Donna's house for lunch. Hopefully this information ahead of time will calm his anxiety.. He doesn't like change and he has a hard time with transition. Donna told me she thought this was a great idea and she would show Ben the poster many times in the day and talk about going to school and then coming to her house afterwards.

This is his classroom. Nice and big and colorful~! He thought this room was so cool and he liked it~!

Here is Ben sitting on his favorite color....Green and a oval shape.. I'm so glad I took these pictures and took him to see his class room ahead of time.

Here is our precious Donna~! He just loves her.. The night before this picture was taken , Tracie and Ben were at Walmart. He saw these flowers and decided to buy them for Donna.. He is being so silly with this picture. He goes to Donna for daycare. She of course enjoyed getting flowers. What girl doesn't enjoy getting flowers.

Just talked with the Doctor.. Last Thursday I went to the hospital to have a MRI. on my right knee. on my left knee I have had two knee replacements so now my right knee is acting up.. YIKES~! Doctor told me I have a torn miniska(spelling wrong) It's the cartilage that is between your knee joints. She said it shows a tear on the inside and the outside of my knee.. I now have an appointment with Dr. Munjal on Sept. 12. 8 a.m. Hopefully I can get by with a repair with scope surgery. Not looking forward to a knee replacement on the right knee. So, I'll just pray that it's not badly injured.

Dave is gone to the National Plowing Matches in Belmond, Iowa.. He will be back on Sunday.. I have always gone to these events with him, but decided too much walking on uneven ground is probably not the best thing for my knee for right now..

Today it's a wonderful day~! 75 ~ sunny and no humidity.. It could stay like this until next March.. (If wishes were horses we would all take a ride). Guess I shouldn't say that because I would miss the snow, and every season that we have. But it is so nice outside.. So I best go outside and enjoy the nice weather while it's here.

Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

It's 2:30 a.m. and not sleeping very good.. I looked up geocaching and saw lots of places close to the house that I can go find a cache. I'm excited, but it's dark outside and really shouldn't be out and about with my flashlight. Then I decided to come to my blog since I haven't posted for a week and read some of my favorite blogs and then write a little in my blog. ..
Having trouble sleeping because I'm thinking of grandson, Ben.. School will be starting for him August 23, well 4 year old Pre-School. His Dad wants Ben to go to Central City where Ben went last year.. Preschool was great there, but the daycare was a real conflict for him.. lots of trouble. Ben for the summer has gone to Donna's house for daycare and it has worked out wonderful. She lives in Springville. He loves Donna, and has made many friends with other boys.. So Ben's mom and of course me wants Ben to stay with Donna and then go to Pre-School in Springville. Ben wants to be at Donna's house (daycare), and go to Springville Pre-School. Divorce is so hard on children and GranAnnie. I feel bad for Ben, the daycare in Central City didn't handle him very well and I think it would be very tramatic for him to go back there. Guess I best just leave this one in God's hand and know he will take care of Ben.
This week I went to the Dr. and got my Women's pilgramage completed.. Physical, pap smear, mamogram. My Dr. was so excited she said I should put a gold star on the blood work results that came back. Sugar much better,, colesterol great (100)~ lost 30 pounds. Having problem with my right knee so she had me go to hospital and have a MRI.. I also had my yearly mamogram and she had me have a bone density test done too. Now to wait and see what the MRI said with regards to my knee.. My left knee I have had a total knee replacement, two of them. Just hope and pray it's nothing serious.. It hurts a lot and it's hard walking.. lots of swelling..
Next week is the National Plowing Contests in Belmond.,Iowa. Iowa is hosting this event this year. 7 states will be involved and it should be a great time. Lots of turning of the soil. Two winners, one in the Reversible and one in Small plow will be eligible to go to World's Ploughing Matches that will be held in Calgary, Canada, 2012.
Guess I best try and get some sleep.. my thoughts are down and now I feel like I can rest.. Have a Tiggeriffic Friday~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Poor little hummingbird~!

Dave is getting ready to go on a Tractorcade parade tomorrow and he came inside and asked me if I could help him in getting the truck hitched to the trailer.. I said "Sure"..So I went outside and on the trailer sat this little tiny female hummingbird.. She was sitting on a spring.. I picked her up and noticed she was still alive.. I brought her into the house and put her little head on a ice cube and then I tried giving her some sugar water. She blinked her eyes at me.. She tried drinking but just couldn't muster it.. Her little tongue went in and out and her beak would open just a little.. I tried to drop the sugar water into the beak.. She tried her best.. I gently blew on her face thinking she needed air.. I took her into the bathroom thinking that if she came around she could fly out the bathroom window.. I have no screen on that window.. Shoot I tried very hard and after 1/2 hour she died.. I felt so bad.. Hummingbirds are my favorite bird.. Don't know if she had a nest somewhere with little ones.. Hope the Daddy takes over and feeds them. I wish Ben was here so I could show him. Maybe I'll put her in my fridge and show him tonight when he comes to the house. yes, that is where she is for now..
I have a book written by Arnette Heidcamp , she wrote the book called A hummingbird in my house.. She rescues hummingbirds and it's quite a touching book to read. She is a remarkable lady that helps these little flyers to get better and go back to being a healthy bird...
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)
~

Be sure to take care of the wildbirds with it being to hot and dry.

I'm feeding the birds and refreshing their bird baths.. Yesterday I looked out to the bird bath and there were 5 Robins just standing in the water, it looked like they were trying to cool off. Then I saw lots of splashing.. I went back out and refilled the bird bath. With this hot weather we are having it's so important that they have fresh water to drink and bathe..

I also weeded the garden and got all the weeds gone. My cucumber looks like there is one almost ready to pick , lots of blooms so there will be more. Had three tomatoes.. Yeah~! I planted some yellow ones this year , suppose to have less acid.. I love to go out and pick fresh vegetables in the garden, they taste so good.
Last night I got the sprinkler out and the hoses and gave my garden a 1/2 hour of watering.. This morning the plants all look so much better. My flower garden looks like it could use some water too. So tonight I'll move the hoses over to it.

This morning in my daily devotion ~ it was titled: God is doing a work in you.
There are two things you can count on as you walk with God: tribulation that works for you , and grace that enables you to stand while you're going though it. Have you been praying for patience? Get ready for tribulation; there's no other way to get it! Patience only grows in the soil of adversity. The truth is, some of the people you can't stand right now are the very ones who'll mature you spiritually and get you to your destiny. God said "Moab is my washbasin" (Ps. 60:8) Moab was a troublesome next-door neighbor who drove Israel crazy. But such people can also drive us closer to God~! So, who's your washbasin? Who brings out the worst in you? Who drives you to your knees? Who stretches your faith? Who develops your character? The problem is, we pray for certain things but God has a process; only as we get to know Him better do we begin to recognize it. Here's how it works: you ask God for strength and He allows you to go through struggles that develop you.. You ask Him for wisdom and you get to deal with messy situations that have no easy solutions. You ask Him for success and He gives you ability to work and wisdom to produce. You ask Him for favor and you get responsibility. (Then you want to run from it) There's work going on in you right now~! You may not be fully aware of it, but without it you'll never be qualified to handle what God has in mind.
I don't know how this happens with this devotion. A lot of times when I read the today's message it's what I'm going through right now.. Whew~! So it settles me to know that God is listening and I just need to know that God has something in mind for me in my life . Listening to James MacDonald from Elgin, Illinois at the Harvest Bible Chapel on the Internet has really made my relationship with God so much closer..
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Goodness to be it's Hot~!

Goodness to be it's so hot.. SO I got up early this morning and went out and cleaned out the burn barrel where we burn trash.. Yes, we can still burn trash here in our county.. IT was so full there was just no way I could add another burn to this barrel.. I weeded my garden and my flower bed.. they look so much better. My cucumbers are almost ready to pick.. Tomatoes are still green. I can hardly wait for my first tomatoe.. yum yum... There is nothing better than a Bacon/lettuce/tomato sandwich.. sometimes I add a fried egg to my sandwich.. It tastes so good..

This is the sunset from last night.. I thought it was so beautiful~! The sun was red and everything just glowed a rosy red.

Here is our Benny boy.. HE is so funny, he thinks if he has on these blue swimming glasses you can't see him.. He loves swimming at Holly's house and he is getting braver and braver everytime we go..

He's a happy boy... I just told him were going swimming..

We have such a bad case of Japanese Beetles.. I bought one of those beetle kits.. I put it out 4 days ago.. In one day I emptied the bag 3 times.. They smell so bad.. just like vomit.. So I decided that the small bags that comes with the kit was just not big enough.. SO I put out a kitchen garbage bag.. In 3 days I have collect a 1/2 bag of them per day.. Today Albert Martin who farms our farm came and sprayed for the Beetles.. I was so happy. I took down all my bags and burned them.. no more smell, no more beetles... The only way to really kill them is to empty the beetles that are in the bag into a bucket of soapy water.. Yikes they just boil in that water.. I heard a master gardener tell us on the noon news that these beetles have already laid their eggs for next year.. I'm not kidding you we have millions of them.. WHen you drive down the road they hit the windshield, wham wham wham... They must love certain trees because a lot of trees have no leaves and the tree has turned brown.. What is next..

I'm lovin the hot weather because hot weather does not bother me.. just think what the temperature is going to be in 6 months.. That will be January.. freezing cold... I think I'll just hang onto this warmer weather.. We have gotten lots of rain so no problem with the grass growing or the vege's in the garden getting enough moisture.

Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now.. stay cool and be careful~!~!
